The book 00A by Dominique Somers is a book that consists of found images. When loading a film camera you must wind and shoot the first couple images before getting onto your 'first' exposure. This book consists of those tester and 'waste' images that are forgotten about and thrown away. The artist went through their archieve and found all of these images from the roles of others.
When looking at how the book is laid out you can see portrait or landscape the images are always placed in the top corner of the page. By having them in this format with the cast white space around it really helps to making you look at just the one image. I feel this is because they are already out of focus and have no real 'subject' that in order to somewhat grasp and understand what is in the image you need to be able to look at it just by itself in its most 'basic' form. By having different types of paper in the book it also help to make the images feel different. Despite being the same colour having the pages matte and shiny makes such a change to the feel of the image, physically and metaphorically.
